

Pre School
Our pre-school programme caters for children from age two starting with play groups. The Nursery programme comprises a pre nursery class followed by Nursery classes 1 and 2. The school hours for the pre-school programs are as follows:

Examinations and Continuous Assessment
All pupils are examined through terminal exams and Continuous Assessment Tests which feature throughout the academic year. To be promoted to the next class a pupil would normally be expected to have obtained the set pass mark in the combined assessment of their performance in the exams and tests.
Basic Education
In line with the current policy on education, our Basic Education Programme for children of five years and above comprises Lower Basic Education Curriculum (Primary 1 – 3), Middle Basic Education Curriculum, (Primary 4 – 6) Primary One to Six and the Junior Secondary classes (JSS1, JSS2 and JSS3). Our curriculum is based on the content of the National Policy on Education. All programmes are conducted through day classes.
Lower Basic Education Curriculum – Primary 1 – 3
In the Lower Primary phase of Education, emphasis is placed on further developing
pupils’ language and reading ability and number handling skills. Pupils are also introduced to a range of other subjects which continue to awaken their curiosity and eagerness to learn.
The pupils’ timetable consists of:
English Language, Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, Handwriting, Health Education taught by the class teacher
Basic Science and Technology, Social Studies, Computer Education, Nigerian Languages (Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba), French, IRK/CRK, Cultural and Creative Arts, PHE and Home Economics or Agricultural Science, taught by subject teachers.
School hours are from 7.45a.m. to 3.00p.m. Monday to Thursday and 7.30a.m. to 1.00p.m. on Friday.
Middle Basic Education Curriculum - Primary 4 – 6
As pupils progress through the middle basic education phase of their education, their learning experience is further broadened and enriched through the classroom experience and a widening range of practical activities.
The pupils’ timetable consists of:
English Language, Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, Handwriting taught by the class teacher

Saturday Lessons take place for pupils in the Upper Primary School from 9.30a.m. until 1.00p.m. Parents/Guardians may enroll their children/wards if they wish.
Junior Secondary School
Upper Basic Education Curriculum
We aim to provide a curriculum sufficiently broad to ensure that each student has the opportunity to identify his/her own interests and strengths and to keep his/her options open for as long as possible.
In JSS1and JSS2 students study a full range of academic subjects and participate in creative subjects and sporting activities - fifteen subjects in total.
These subjects, all taught by specialist teachers, are
English (Language and Literature), Mathematics, Basic Science, Social Studies, French, Basic Technology, a Nigerian Language(Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba) Business Studies, Home Economics, Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Cultural and Creative Arts, IRK/CRK, PHE
In JSS3 students will study a minimum of ten and a maximum of twelve subjects leading to their Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE)
The timetable is made up of what is known as:
the ‘core subjects’ of English (Language and Literature), Mathematics, Basic Science, Social Studies, French, Basic Technology, Civic Education and a Nigerian Language (Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba), which are all compulsory and
‘electives’ - between three and five subjects chosen from Business Studies, Home Economics, Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Cultural and Creative Arts, IRK/CRK and PHE.
Continuous Assessment
This is based on class work both written and oral, practical projects, homework, research, practical work as relevant to the subject, regular tests (CATs) and terminal examinations. To be promoted to the next class a pupil would normally be expected to have obtained the set pass mark in the combined assessment of their performance in the exams and tests.
School hours are from 7.45a.m. to 3.00p.m. Monday to Thursday and 7.30a.m. to 1.00p.m. on Friday.
Saturday Lessons take place for students in JSS2 and JSS3 from 9.00a.m. until 1.00p.m. All students are expected to attend.
